Volunteer

Volunteers must be 18 years old or older. All volunteers must also complete the required Safe Environment training and attend volunteer training before the event.

We would still love to have you! Volunteers are welcome to serve for a few hours or several days. When you sign up, let us know your availability and we will do our best to find a role that fits your schedule.

We hope our volunteers will be able to participate in the Beatification Mass, but your ability to attend will depend on your volunteer assignment and schedule. More details about volunteer schedules and Mass access will be provided as the event gets closer.

Please plan to dress modestly and appropriately for a Catholic liturgical celebration. Comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended, as some volunteer roles may require standing or walking for extended periods. All volunteers will receive a volunteer t-shirt to be worn during their shifts.

The Dome does not have a parking lot, but public parking is available nearby. Pre-booking your parking is strongly recommended through St. Louis parking apps. The St. Louis MetroLink light rail also has a stop at the Convention Center.

Lodging is not provided for volunteers. Volunteers are responsible for arranging their own accommodations. If you need a hotel, information about accommodations can be found here.

If you are scheduled to volunteer during a meal time, a meal will be provided for you. If your volunteer shift does not overlap with a meal time, concessions will be available for purchase.

Safe Environment training is a set of requirements established by the Catholic Church to help protect children and vulnerable adults. Because volunteers may be serving in an environment where minors or vulnerable individuals are present, all volunteers must complete the required Safe Environment requirements for their home diocese before serving.

We understand that plans can change! If you are no longer able to volunteer, please let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust schedules and make sure your role is covered. Please contact beatification@partnershipforyouth.org

Volunteer assignments will be based on the needs of the event, so volunteers will not be able to choose their specific area of service. If you have been asked to serve in a specific area by request, please indicate who invited you on your volunteer application.

However, when you sign up, please let us know about any physical restrictions, mobility concerns, or other limitations that may affect your ability to lift, stand, walk long distances, or perform certain tasks. We will do our best to place you in a role that is a good fit for your needs and abilities.

Because volunteer roles require you to be fully available to serve, children and infants should not accompany volunteers during their scheduled service time. Volunteers should plan to arrange childcare for any children who will not be able to attend the event independently.
